Waylay Thursday!

Thursdays, what are they for? This year, Thursdays have always meant nothing. I normally don't work, and none of our TV shows are on that night, unless you count Jersey Shore, I don't. There's nothing cool like Waffle Wednesdays going either, yet somehow Thursdays turn into extremely exciting nights.

It was a regular Thursday, until Megan and I decided to go on a suicide mission. We had to recover the only copy of a CD from someone's ex girlfriend. It was terrifying, and very risky, but we came out alive...CD in hand!

Then we had a basketball game to attend. That's right, basketball. I don't really enjoy our basketball games. I was so spoiled in High school.... NO ONE shows up to watch Dixie play, it's kind of a mood killer. This game was different though, the Jazz bear came, and for some reason since the Jazz bear was there, half of the school decided to show up. We lost the game, but it was pretty fun to watch.

After the game was one of the greatest things I've seen. Top five best "shows" ...ever. It was this group called "Recycled Percussion"
They have a show on the Strip that costs $60 to see but the school only charged us $5. We also got the front row! It's kind of a hard thing to explain, so I will let their website do it for the most part:

It's basically two guys that play different beats on the most random stuff. They have a drum set made out of plastic buckets and pieces of metal.
Then they have a guitarist and a guy that mixes music. The show was rad, I would recommend if you were ever in Vegas with $60 to blow, and you liked rock music, and loud-ness.
I took some video's on my phone, the quality is crap, but you get the gist of it:

One of the guys, Justin Spencer, is the worlds "fastest drummer" once again, really bad quality, and it takes him a little while to get going, but you can just hear how speedy he is!

At the end, they did a mash up of all the greatest rock and roll bands (in their opinion) from the 60's til now. During the last song one of the guys broke his drum stick and tossed it to me. Afterward I got them all to sign it. Alls I gotta say is Drummers and dang sexy, even when they paint their fingernails and have the strangest tattoo's.

After the show Megan, Connie and I went to get some DEL! We started arguing with the boys in the car in front of us. They were all J. Bieber look a likes, no thank you. The people that work at Del Taco love their jobs. They have way too much fun with the people that come through the drive through.

Alas, the night did finally come to an end, but it was such a good one! I love loud music.
