Disappointment

Nobody likes it, but it happens on a daily basis.
You have to look for the little things to cancel out the day to day disappointments.

When a customer is completely rude to me at work.
CANCELED!
because someone will come in later and say "Thank you!" and mean it.

When I get completely behind in homework and it piles up on me at the end of the week.
CANCELED!
because even though I have to give up some play time, the feeling I get when it's all done is unreal.

When someone I used to be really close to makes bad decisions and continues to take things out on me.
CANCELED!
because I have real friends that mean the world to me and don't treat me like garbage.

When it's just been a bad day all together and nothing seems to be making it better.
CANCELED!
because all it takes is a text from the greatest dad in the world, or a voice mail from my mom who would do anything for me to turn it around completely.

Disappointment, PSHH!

  1. Lindsey - that is an awesome way to look at things. You are right - constant disappointment is everywhere. It's awesome that you are able to find the things to cancel those out. Thank you for the reminder. I love you and can't wait to see you!
